As our business grows, our impact giving strategy will continue to expand!

Merrimak cares deeply about the wellbeing of our employees and the communities where we do business. We proudly contribute to a variety of causes that promote the health, happiness, and success of those in our broader community. Over the years, our charitable contributions have sponsored better healthcare and scientific discovery, undergraduate scholarships, veterinary medicine, animal welfare, and weekend meals for school-aged children that depend on the federally funded Free and Reduced Meal Program on weekdays.

We recognize the opportunity to make an even stronger impact through volunteerism and service. That’s why Merrimak has pledged to collectively complete 10,000 hours of volunteer service by 2030. We believe we can create meaningful change in our communities through our vast network of resources and dedicated employees.

  • Strut Your Mutt

    Merrimak was recognized as the Top Company Fundraising Team in 2022 for Strut Your Mutt, a walk and fundraiser for Best Friends Animal Society to support the No-Kill Utah Shelters initiative.

  • For The Kids

    During the 2022 Holiday season, Merrimak employees held an office food drive for weekend and holiday food supplement packages for children in the Salt Lake community.

  • Ruff Haven

    Merrimak supports Ruff Haven Animal Crisis Sheltering, which provides a temporary safe haven for companion animals in order to keep pets and their people together in times of crisis and decrease the number of animals entering the shelter system. Watch the video here.

  • Sub for Santa

    During the 2022 Holiday season, Merrimak sponsored families through the United Way of Utah County’s Sub for Santa Program to provide gifts, books, clothing, and more for children to give families a warm and abundant holiday.

  • Jordan River Clean-Up

    Coming soon on Earth Day 2023, our Salt Lake City Headquarters office will be participating in a Jordan River Clean-Up. We will be joining hundreds of members of the Salt Lake County Community to clean up more than 17 miles of the river.

  • UC Davis Veterinary Medicine

    Thanks to the compassion and generosity of Merrimak CEO, Mary Kariotis, UC Davis Veterinary Medicine recently performed the first 3D Laparoscopic Adrenalectomy on an animal, an 8-year old Boston Terrier named Louie .Read the full article here.
